Nutrex Lipo 6 Review
Time for me (Dr Clay) to review one of the most popular fat-burning supplements on the market: Lipo 6 made by Nutrex. Does Lipo 6 really help to burn fat? Is Lipo 6 a waste of money? Is Lipo 6 safe? Read on to find out…
Lipo 6 Active Ingredients (and how they work):
Synephrine (20 mg) This milder “cousin” of ephedrine is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant that promotes fat burning. It comes from the fruit citrus aurantium and is also known as bitter orange and zhishi.
Synthetic 99% Guggulsterones Z&E 1:1 (20 mg) Shown to increase T3 output(the active thyroid hormone) and lower cholesterol.
Yohimbine HCL (3 mg) Increases the effect of synephrine and caffeine. Also helps burn fat via other mechanisms
Caffeine Annydrous USP (200 mg) One of the most commonly used drugs world-wide, caffeine is a CNS stimulant that has been shown to promote fat burning in many different studies.
Bioperine (5 mg) Increases the absorption of the other active ingredients.
The effectiveness of each ingredient on its own is rather well-supported by research. It is no surprise that Lipo 6 is one of the most popular fat burning supplements on the market-the 6th best-selling supplement on BodyBuilding.com to be exact (a website that sells over 7,000 supplements).
Dr. Clay’s Overall Rating: 4 1/2 out of 5
For those who do not have pre-existing conditions, such as hypertension or mitral valve prolapse, I would rate Lipo 6 made by Nutrex a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. That’s about as high as I would rate any multi-ingredient fat burning supplement.
Word of Caution
*Using the combination of caffeine, synephrine and yohimbine has the potential to increase bloodpressure (especially in those already prone to hypertension). Use caution when taking Lipo 6 or any other fat-burning supplement, especially those that are CNS stimulants.

There are no double blind placebo crossover studies done on these sort of products. I think people would be better off taking Fish oil , coconut oil (virgin organic) , and cayenne peppers pills. ( fish oil is a super supplement for the heart and burns 300 calories per day). Coconut oil is MCT’s , burns fat big time, and great for the heart. Cayenne and hot foods CAN burn 1,000 calories a day and good for your heart.
The safety and efficacy of all these so called fat-burners are what will end up getting the FDA to pass laws to shut down the supplement industry. Having the marked up pharmaceutical synthetically control products that only Doctors can prescribe will be just around the corner with the greed and ignorance and selfish behavior of these companies making these sorts of products.
Gaspari is a disgrace , Haladrol 50 having proven to have a steroid in it… especially one that demolishes the liver. What a disgrace half the supplement industry is. Sure it is better than pharmaceutical drugs… but still…
