The Truth about I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!

When I first discovered spray butter, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Nothing makes other wise bland food actually taste good like I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter spray. I soon began squirting it on just about everything that went in my mouth. After all, it was fat AND calorie free, right?
Wrong!!
Although the label claims that the products contains no fat or calories, you must realize that is the case if you only use one serving, or 1.25 sprays (and who really uses only that much?). It is easy to get carried away when using the stuff, so be careful. 12.5 sprays is 10 calories and 1 gram of fat, 25 sprays (or 1 teaspoon if you are pouring it) is 20 calories and 2 grams of fat, and the entire bottle contains 900 calories and 90 grams of fat.
Now, I’m not saying that you should throw your ICBINB in the trash, since its obviously better for your waistline than the real thing. However, it is important to be aware of how much you are using, because those calories and fat grams can really add up. While a few sprays here and there won’t do any damage, if you find yourself going through a bottle a week (like some people I know), then it might be wise to cut back.
All the Best,
Marci
