Best MultiVitamin for the Money
Just today, one of my clients (who is a personal trainer) asked me “Which multi do you suggest that people purchase?” She wanted to know both for herself and for her clients.
Let me briefly state that there are a TON of multivitamin/mineral products on the market. Most of them are crap! For the record, if your multi rhymes with sintrum or wonuday, then you bought junk, my friend.
On the other hand, some of these mutlit-vitamin/mineral products are absolutely TOP NOTCH! Unfortunately, many people have to take out a second mortgage to pay for them.
Later I will review various vitamin and mineral products that I think are good, regardless of the cost.
But today I want to give you my recommendation for the best multi-vitamin and multi-mineral (all in one) for the money…
Natrol’s My Favorite Multiple (yep, that’s the real name!)![]()
I sometimes like to give car analogies to explain the quality of something. If your department store multi is a Yugo (do they still make those), and the best ones (that cost over $100/month) are Ferraris, then Natrol’s My Favorite Multiple is a Lexus. But since you can get it here for under $15, you’re getting that Lexus for the price of a Honda Civic.
Yours in health,
Dr Clay

I’m currently using one of the not-so-good rhyming vitamins, and I figured it was as useless as you said. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for pointing out the truth about most multivitamins. Most of them are made from petroleum and charcoal tar derivatives.
What is your take on Phytomatrix? Are you familiar with it?It is the only 100% plant sourced multi. I would have asked you this in an e-mail but didn’t see a way to contact you, Dr. Clay.

It has MUCH to be desired. Alive whole food supplement is much much better. Now while Alive is not perfect , let me point off some flaws in this Natrol supplement.
1. its synthetic, need to be from whole food source with greens etc..
2. the B12 “Vitamin B-12 (As Cyanocobalamin)” this is cheap and old school. The liver has to convert Cyanocobalimin to use it… Methylcobalamin is what every B12 should consist of. Finally, the E and the C vitamins are not complete.. thus not going to do much for the body.
Beats a Centrum hands down… but not really a fantastic vitamin… There are plenty like it.

It’s (one of) the best for the money, just as I said.
This review was not meant to be a “how-to created the absolute best multi regardless of cost.”
