I’ve traveled so much over the past couple months and had such a busy summer, that I have SO many stories to tell. I won’t get to them all today, of course, but maybe eventually.
I just got back from the gym where Nick, my training partner, and I trained chest & abs. For those curious what my training routine is like, here’s what we did today:
1) Incline BB Bench – (after warming up) 10, 8, 6, 4 (that means a set of 10, a set of 8, and so on)
2) Decline DB Press – 10, 8, 6
3) Hammer Strength Isolateral Bench Press – 10, 10
4) Cable X-overs (high to low) – 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 11, 10 (went fast, only rested long enough for Nick to do his set)
5) Hanging Leg Raises – 12, 12, 12
6) Crunches holding 45lb plate – 12, 12, 12
7) Twists (leaning back holding 12lb ball) – 27, 25, 24 (got a video of this I’ll post later)
We also stretched our chest as soon as we were done with the last set of x-overs.
My training is going very well and my knee is feeling a lot better. I can actually do some squats (albeit light).
If everything continues to go well, I plan to compete again next spring. I’ll keep you posted. Although to be honest, my competitive focus is more on my clients who compete than on my competitions. But even as a “coach” I still like to get in there and mix it up every once in a while!
Me and a couple friends went to Pier 39 in San Francisco yesterday to watch the Blue Angels. MAN! They are INCREDIBLE to say the least! The precision by which they have to execute their moves is unreal! Words can begin to describe how cool it is. And watching it on TV is NOT the same, my friend! If you ever have a chance to watch them – DO! It’s something you won’t foget!
Click on the pics to enlarge and look at how close they are!
Alright, that’s enough for now. I gotta get to work on a couple of diets for clients.
Till next time, train hard and expect success!![]()
