There’s a proven, but easy-to-follow formula to help you set goals appropriately. Setting SMART goals is one of the keys to achieving your goals. The other key is the relentless pursuit of those goals.
Here are the five components of the SMART formula works:
- Sensible
- Measureable
- Attainable
- Realistic
- Time-specific
If your goals fit into all five of these guidelines, then you’re on your way to making that goal a reality.
Let me conclude with an example of a weight loss goal that meets the SMART formula parameters:
“I will lose 20 pounds of body fat by January 1, 2009. I will accomplish this by eating healthy, frequent meals and exercising for 45 minutes, six days per week.”
Here’s to your success!
