How to use oats in a post-workout shake

Question: I have recently decided to add oats to my post workout shake. BUT the problem is I cant break the oats up into small enough pieces, so I’m choking down my shake, literally ha. Today I tried just eating them with boiled water but I can barely eat it all.

I know there has too be a way to grind them into dust practically. Or at least get them to were I can drink my shake without choking/gagging. I really like oats because of the good carbs and health benefits so I really want to make this work!

Any suggestions are appreciated. Jake

Answer: Chopping them up is they key. You can use a blender, coffer grinder, or food processor (like the popular Magic Bullet).

Though oats are slow digesting, chopping them up increases the surface area and therefore speeds digestion – great for post-workout.
