Dr Clay’s Preview & Predictions for the 2009 Mr Olympia

With a little arm twisting by a loyal reader, I’ve decided to give my analysis and predictions for the upcoming 2009 Mr. Olympia contest which will be held on Saturday, September 26 in Las Vegas Nevada.

Watch the following video (episodes 42 of the Dr Clay Show) to get my full analysis of front-runners like current Mr. Olympia Dexter Jackson, last year’s runner-up Jay Cutler, Phil Heath, Kai Green, Dennis Wolf, Tony Freeman, Gustavo Badell, Troy Alves, and others.

  1. Just joined your site and thanks for the free ebook. Look forward to getting a lot of great info from it. I wanted to share info with you about what I consider the very best mattress available for just about everyone. You and I know the importance of a good nights sleep. What most don’t know is what mattress gets the job done right. It’s called the isleep adjustment bed. Simply go to http://www.isleep.com and find out for yourself why you should own this mattress. You can also call Shelly Alder-Hronik at 800.219.3151. You’ll be glad you did. Thanks for everything you do to make this world a better place for all.

For the best in all of us,
    C. Todd Fetter, DC

Yeah I had to beg to get your predictions. Here’s my top 5 in order.

1.) Cutler(If he comes in in top shape, he’s got the size) After 2nd last year, I’ll bet he’ll look better than ever. He’s simply the biggest guy on stage here and flaws? I can’t find any if he tightens his waist up like in 2001.

2.) Kai Green(Aside from his thing for fruit, he’s a beast) If Cutler slips, he’s a frontrunner to win. the guy has a massive back and legs, but Cutler is just bigger.

3.) Phil Heath-Major improvements and he will be a dominate force for years to come. Keep an eye on him.

4 & 5) Wolf and Dexter-It’s a coin toss. Jackson doesn’t have what it takes to repeat IMO, but he’s top 5 material and Wolf is always a high placer.

I guess tomorrow we’ll see how good or pathetic I am at this stuff.

  3. DrClay says:

JR, you must be one of the many Wolf fans… a group which I have not joined yet. Other than that, I’m with you.

Like you said, we will know tomorrow night!

    Dr C

PS “… his thing for fruit…” funny stuff, JR, funny stuff!

  4. DrClay says:

Dr. Fetter, thanks a bunch for stopping by… and for the kind words! I really appreciate that.

And thanks for sharing that resource with us. Since I wasn’t familiar with that mattress, I took a moment to check it out, and it certainly looks to be a legitimate option to a sleep number mattress. Good find!

    Dr Clay

PS I happen to know a couple of people that live in Winfield. What a small world it is!

  5. Joseph R. says:

Well, I got 4 of the 5 right. Not in order, but I did nail Cutler at #1. He’s a beast and his conditioning was otherworldly. Simply unbeatable this year.

  6. DrClay says:

Yeah, Cutler doesn’t have the prettiest physique, but his combination of size and conditioning are unmatched.

You did GREAT except for Dennis Wolf. And although I’ve never been a fan of his physique (and even thought he was overrated), I didn’t think he deserved to tie for last!
