Adam, that’s very kind of you and very much appreciated! I consider this all a TEAM effort, and since you’re reading this, YOU are part of the team! After all, with whom would I share my passion for nutrition & training if it weren’t for you guys/gals? So thanks.

Dr. Clay – Thanks for putting this up, hopefully this helps out during a strict diet or for anyone looking to pack a little extra protein in their diet.
As a side note, if you have a little more room for fat in your diet you can substitute whole eggs for egg whites. It will give the brownies a little richer flavor.
Thanks
AD
Tastes pretty good, but I added a half cup of flaxseed and a half cup of oat flour. Also, I think 3 cups of water is a bit much and the recipe should be changed to say “add water until batter reaches desired consistency”
I agree, 3 cups of water is to much (I tried it). And you need to change the 65g protein per Brownies for 6.5 grams per Brownies!. 65g X 10 = 650 grams for 2 cups chocolate casein protein powder, hummmm where can I find it!!! IoI
But, the Brownies are very good!!
Thanks a bunch for you input. And I’ll have to double check the protein content – I just posted it as it was sent.
I just made these brownies, but my macros are completely different.
I didn’t weigh out my protein powder (wish I had a scale), but I scooped my protein into my measuring cup using the provided scoop and got 6 scoops for 2 cups. This + 1 cup of egg whites yielded 144 g protein and 28 g carbs for the entire recipe.
650 g of protein (per the posted recipe) would equal over 30 scoops of protein powder (assuming 20 g per scoop). That doesn’t sound right, does it?
Hey guys,
Don’t mixed up with 2 cup 500ml with the small cup you take your shake.
that’s why it’s good to have 65g per brownie
2 cups = ~160 grams of ON Casein. One serving = 33grams = 24g protein. 24/33 = 0.727. So 160 grams of powder = ~116 grams of protein. 116 grams of protein divided by 10 servings = ~11.6 grams of protein per serving. Add in the 4 egg whites for about 16 grams of protein, at 1.6 per serving. I’d say a good guestimate would be that each brownie gives you about 13gr. of protein.
65 grams of protein???? do the math on this one….2 cups of protein powder has 96 grams of protein; 4 egg whites have 14 grams. 96 + 14 = 110 grams in the whole recipe. 110 grams / 10 servings = 11 grams of protein per serving!
where do you get 65 grams??????
John, thanks for doing those calculations, and I think you’re right on the money.
I normally only post recipes I’ve double checked. But Adam was kind enough to send it, I thought it looked good, and wanted to share with my peeps. In the future I’ll make sure to double check them myself. On behalf of Adam and myself, sorry…please let us out of the doghouse.
simma down nah, Andrew. i made a mistake
These are great – with less water. I altered the recipe to have around 22g protein per browine by lowering the water and protein powder and using 1/2 the egg whites….and added in a smidge of baking cocoa powder and a packet of stevia and you’d never know they are ‘healthy.’ Divine!!!!
Awesome Brownies using PVL Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Protein Powder and less water. I added baking powder, Stevia (Truvia) and crushed walnuts to up the taste and fat! Yum!
I followed the recipe as posted and these are not brownies. They taste awful and are so dry I couldn’t eat them. What a waste of my protein powder.
this is literally one of the worst things I have ever eaten… I honestly felt like was eating a brown egg souffle… I would never recommend this to anyone unless I wanted them to truly suffer… You owe me two cups of protein sir…
didnt even worked ! There was way too much water in it. 3 scoop of protein right in the garbage im so frustrated
So i made mine with one heaping scoop chocolate supreme casein by ON and used 1 egg white and enough water that it made a brownie batter maybe a lil less thick and 1 tsp of baking powder. I love these brpwnies but id prefer it to actually rose so its more like a brownie….anyy suggestions? More baking powder or add some baking soda to it too? Thx for this receipe!
Tasted like a cross between cardboard shoe inserts and a dry sponge….heinous.
Seriously…add a tablespoon of coconut fat, 1/4 cup ground oatmeal, 2 tablespoons coconut flour, splenda, and a jar or two of gerber carrots.
ooops…I meant coconut oil, not coconut fat. (extra virgin, organic….)
So what are you saying, Cynthia? You didn’t like ‘em? ha. just kidding. sorry they tasted like a**, I mean a shoe insert/dry sponge hybrid. (what a creative mind you have, btw…I love the comparison)
All the best,
Dr C
