How: Each participant will be given complete meal plans and a training program to jump start their transformation. Participants will benefit from weekly seminars presented via online video. Topics include anything and everything related to Physique Enhancement including nutrition, training, cardio, supplementation, posture, mindset & adherence, etc.

Participants will also be invited to ask Dr Clay questions live via streaming video. They will also have access to a private web site and forum that will be used to provide lots of training & nutrition information, give ongoing support, answer questions, and other learning tools such as online quizzes to access and reinforce learning and understanding.

Why I Created the Physique Coaching Program…

For quite a while now I have been really giving a lot of thought to how I can help more people to achieve their physique and fitness goals.  That thinking is exactly what led to my writing Set Your Metabolism on Fire… and what helped me to decide to give it away for free (which everyone told me I was crazy for).  And I’m sure glad I made both of those decisions, because in a few short months that the book has been available, it has helped over 8000 people! And that’s with nothing but word-of-mouth marketing — for which I have YOU to thank!

Although books are great (and I will certainly write more), many people — make that most people — need something more than a book (or even a dozen books) can provide.

Part of the reason why books leave a lot to be desired is simply because they do not engage the three different types of learning…

The Three Types of Learning:

  1. Visual – learn by seeing
  2. Auditory – learn by hearing
  3. Tactile/Kinesthetic – learn by doing

You can read something until you’re blue in the face, but it’s still not the same as learning via your preferred learning style.  An even better method is to learn by a combination of all three types of learning, which is practically a must if you want to really know and understand a topic or skill.  Could you imagine trying learn to dance by just reading a book?! You would probably end up an even worse dancer than I am!

Well, learning the details of nutrition and training are no different.  And that’s exactly why I structured the Physique Coaching program to include video (which includes audio) seminars, exercise how-to’s, cooking videos, etc.  Heck, we will even have live Q & A chat sessions via streaming video so you can see and hear me answer your questions.  That’s better then just reading my answer, because with the video you can see my facial expressions, body language, and intonations so that you can better understand the material.

Then comes tactile or kinesthetic learning, which is basically learning by practicing or doing.  On-the-job-training is an example of kinesthetic learning, which I’m sure you’ll agree, is really the best type of learning if you truly want to know and understand a subject.  That’s why the Physique Coaching program is primarily based on kinesthetic learning.

Not only will you learn via text, audio, and video, but you will also be encouraged to do and try the things you’re learning about. This will help you to not only know the academics of training and nutrition, but, more importantly, it will help you to understand training and nutrition from a practical, real-world standpoint.  You’ll be able to try the things you’re learning, then turn right around and ask me any questions you encountered along the way!

These days, who has the time to do the countless hours of searching through books, magazines, and the internet that it takes to learn all the details of training and nutrition?!  And that’s even assuming you can find accurate information (a topic for another day).

Well, my friend, I’ve already done (and continue to do) the legwork for you.  I’ve been studying nutrition and training for a little over 20 years now!  (Dang that makes me sound old.)  I spent literally 9 1/2 years in college studying the human body.  Not only that – I’ve been DOING it that long, too!  I’ve also been fortunate to have worked with literally hundreds and hundreds of clients over the years.

Whether we’re talking about fitness, making money, or playing checkers – we all benefit by ‘modeling’ after those who are already successful in that field.  Every success coach (i.e. Tony Robbins) will tell you the exact same thing – it helps to learn from those who are already where you want to be.

That’s why ongoing support is such an integral part of the Physique Coaching program. You will be able to ask questions 24 hours a day, seven days a week on the private, members-only website and forum. Even if I’m on one of my mini adventure vacations, I will log on with my laptop and make sure your questions are answered within 24 hours.

You will also be able have your questions answered in another cool format – live streaming video.  At the end of the live seminars, you’ll be able to ask me questions right then and there!  This is perfect for ensuring that you perfectly understand all the information in the seminars.

You can also use these live chats to ask me questions specific to you and your situation.  Let’s say you sometimes work the graveyard shift and need help fine-tuning your meal plan for that situation – I’ll help you out right then and there.

I Will Teach You What I Should Have Taught Other Personal Trainers

A few years ago I used to travel around the country teaching a personal training certification course. I really enjoyed that, not only because I love both teaching and fitness, but also because I knew that these trainers would go on to share their knowledge with others. Therefore I knew I was indirectly helping a lot of people. So it was a perfect way for me to share my knowledge and experience with others. Well, I should say almost perfect…

When I was teaching for this certification organization I became increasingly frustrated at having to teach so much stuff that was purely academic and had no real-world application.  And if that’s not enough, some of the information I was teaching was outdated or even flat out wrong!

I can’t even count the number of times a student (trainer) would come up to me and say “I know I just took the course and even passed the test, but I still don’t know how to design a good training program… much less a nutrition plan!”

In a way, that teaching experience set the stage for how I do things to this day.  I realized that just because someone can write an essay on the sliding filament theory does NOT mean they can design even a decent training program.

Physique Evaluation

The Most Bang for Your Buck

Another reason why I’ve created the Physique Coaching program is because I see so many people wasting their hard earned money on half-assed personal trainers!

Don’t get me wrong, there are certainly some good trainers out there, but sadly they are the minority. And, for the most part, even the ones that are decent charge way too much money!  I might feel differently about this if they were actually interested in teaching you how to train by yourself without being reliant on them.

But instead, most trainers are nothing more than ‘rep-counters’ who want (and need) you to train with them for the rest of your life… and at $80 per hour, no less! But hey, if you can afford $960 per month to train with a personal trainer three times a week, then I’m happy for you. (But I would still encourage you to learn how to design and implement your own training programs, just in case.)

When you consider the fact that the price of the entire four-month Physique Coaching program is less than what you would typically pay for five sessions with a personal trainer, it’s obvious that the physique coaching program is a credible value!

Even if you compare the physique coaching program to my other services, you can still see that it offers a LOT of bang for your buck!  In fact, for just $79 more than the price of a customized nutrition and training program, you’re getting the entire Physique Coaching program – including over 12 hours of information-packed seminars AND ongoing support!  And that’s not even including the $150 value of the Physique Evaluation!

Outside of this program, it would cost you over $1,500 to have me help you this much. Maybe I’m being a dummy for practically un-selling you on some of my other services, but I’m just telling you like it is.

Question: What kind of results can I expect in the 4 months?

Answer: That depends on what you want to achieve in 4 months.

If you want to/need to, you could TOTALLY transform your physique in the four month duration of the coaching program.  And the Physique Coaching program is designed specifically to support your efforts in doing that.

To the right is a before and after picture of a client who transformed her physique and took the Runner-up spot in a big transformation contest!  But I must tell you… she didn’t achieve these results in 16 weeks – it only took 12 weeks!

Others may only need to fine-tune their physiques and/or learn how to overcome a troublesome sticking point, so their results wouldn’t be as dramatic as someone who had 50 lbs to lose.

Question: What if I’m in pretty good shape and don’t need to “transform” my physique?  Would I still benefit?

Answer: Absolutely!  The Physique Coaching program is NOT just another ‘transformation contest.’  There are enough of those around!  Physique Coaching is about teaching you the ins and outs of nutrition, training, supplementation, and cardio so that you can know, with confidence, that you’re in charge of your physique and can change it at any point.

Likewise, even things like injury management, posture, and psychology will be addressed as these are an integral part of improving your physique, or what I call Physique Enhancement.

Question: I am a relative beginner with a LOT of weight to lose.  Is this program too advanced for me?

Answer: Heck no!  Everything in the program is explained in a simple, easy-to-understand format such that even someone with little to no ‘fitness knowledge’ will understand everything just fine.

Question: Is the Physique Coaching program open to international participants (outside the U.S.)?

Answer: YES!  Due to the online nature of the program, participants will be able to log on and access the private website, forum, and seminars 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, regardless of your time zone!  The program will be taught in English.  But if you’re reading this, you’re probably good to go!

Question: I am a Figure competitor.  Is the Physique Coaching program a good option for me?

Answer: Yes… the Physique Coaching program is a VERY good option for competitors who want to KNOW they’re dieting and training properly.  Because the program is not specifically for competitors, we’re not going to go into stuff like posing, tanning, suit selection, and all that.  But, because practically everyone is interested in being able to look a bit lean than they are for certain events (i.e. a beach trip), we will discuss how to ‘peak’ properly to achieve that deceptively lean look.  And I sure don’t mind answering some of your specific contest prep questions in the members-only forum.  (That way we won’t bore everyone else. ;)

 

Question: It says this program is for “healthy adults.”  What if I have hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetes, high cholesterol, a shoulder injury, etc.?  Can I still participate?

Answer: As long as your doctor has cleared you to engage in a diet and exercise program of this nature, then you’re good to go.  But do check with him or her prior to beginning if you have any questions.

The nutrition and training programs that will be designed for you will be based on the information you provide in your questionnaire.  So if there’s a particular exercise or two you can’t do, then you’ll list it on there and that will be taken into account.  But if you’re allergic to five different, basic foods and can’t do eight different, basic exercises due to shoulder, back, and knee problems, then this program may not be for you.

However, over the course of the program, you will learn quite a bit about things like hypertension, high cholesterol, and adult onset (Type II) diabetes and how use nutrition and exercise to reduce your risk of these diseases as well as how to  to reduce the severity of (or in some cases, eliminate)  these diseases if/when they are present.

So although this program is in no way designed to nor claim to prevent or treat any disease or illness, proper nutrition and exercise can help a large number of ailments.  And the Physique Coaching program will teach you LOTS of information that can certainly support the optimal, healthy functioning of your body.
